Optional Progressive DLC Shock Bodies for RC MAKER SP1 and SP1-F<\/h1>\n

These are the optional progressive shock bodies. This means that the dampening gets thicker throughout the stroke, and thinner throughout the stroke on rebound<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

We achieved this by milling tapered scallops out of the sides of the body, which reduce in both depth and thickness as they reach the top. This allows less bypass of oil around the piston as the piston moves to the top of the body, in turn, making the dampening harder.\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

Progressive dampening can be beneficial to generate traction, due to the stiffening of the shocks when the car pitches and rolls. Generally considered better for smooth tracks, they can help to generate corner speed and grip.<\/span><\/h1>\n

They feature “Diamond Like Coating” on the shock bodies for maximum smoothness.\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n
